Teachers are always juggling so many tasks that they often forget to take care of their own wellbeing. Your work environment, stress levels and overall health have a huge impact on your work life, and we all know that happy and healthy staff are more productive!
More and more teachers are finding themselves buried under mounds of paperwork that Adam Voigt describes as “pointless box-ticking and red tape that offer[s] little-to-no value to the school environment[7]” and less time in the classroom actually interacting with students – the reason teachers got into education in the first place. As a family of six, with her husband Michael being a teacher himself, this family had its hands full during the extended lockdown from hell that Melbourne endured in 2020.
